Connect: Find An OSUWireless Hot Spot & Log On!
NOTE: OSUWireless Hot Spots are in a limited number of buildings on campus for Phase I. Only those areas on the location map designated with a "*" (star) are active OSUWireless Hot Spots.
You've got your OSUWireless ID and PIN and a properly configured device...from this point forward, whenever you are in range of an OSUWireless Hot Spot, simply log on:
- Verify your mobile device is ON. (MacIntosh users should also verify their Airport is set to ON)
- When in range of an OSUWireless Hot Spot, most devices will automatically recognize the "osuwireless" SSID.
- If you have not saved your OSUWireless ID and PIN, you will be prompted you to enter them. You may need to click on the prompt to enter the information. If prompted, enter your OSUWireless ID and PIN into the appropriate fields. You may choose to save your logon information for future sessions.
- Click the confirmation / connect button to initiate the authentication process and log on.
- Most systems will provide confirmation when you have successfully connected.
- Launch your web browser. If you are able to surf from one web address to another, you are on the OSUWireless network!
NOTE: During your initial log on, you may be prompted to accept OSU's server certificate. Click the appropriate button to accept it.
