Guest account provisioning
The Office of Information Technology currently administrates access to provisioning guest wireless accounts for the osuguest SSID. At least one of the following requirements must be met in order to become a wireless guest account provisioner:- You must be the dean and/or head of college
- You must be the lead departmental network administrator
- You must provide written consent to become a wireless guest account provisioner. This is obtained from either the dean and/or head of college, or the lead departmental network administrator.
In addition to meeting one of the above requirements, you must have an active OSU Internet Username (lastname.#) account. To become an account provisioner, please follow the procedure below:
- Meet one of the above three requirements for becoming an account provisioner
- Submit your request in email to osuwireless@osu.edu
Be sure to include the following:
- Your OSU Internet Username, lastname.# NOTE:magnus-style usernames are not compatible. You must rename your account to the lastname.# format here
- The maximum duration your guests will need access
Options: one day, three days, one week, one month, and three months
Once your request is received, it will be reviewed and responded to within 1-2 business days.
